From NNTAG

Dear All,

Objectors to a Norwich Northern Distributor Road have a crucial opportunity to object to a NNDR and to get the Secretary of State to hold an inquiry.  However, the deadline is imminent!   See below on how to object.

What’s happened is that the Highways Agency at the instruction of Nfk CC has published draft Orders for closing side and slip roads at A47 Postwick Interchange and for replacing them with a series of link roads and junctions. The draft Orders are a chance to object to the Postwick Interchange upgrading as the first stage of a NDR.   Depending on the number of objections, the Secretary of State can hold an inquiry.

How to Object and the Deadline

The deadline for objections is Friday 8 Jan at midnight.

These can be emailed to the Secretary of State at ranjit.mistry@highways.gsi.gov.uk

Also, the Highways Agency has said they will accept letters dated 8 Jan, put in the post and received by Weds 13 Jan.

To object only a few points are required eg:

To the Secretary of State, Highways Agency, Woodlands, Manton Road, Bedford, MK41 7OW

A47 Trunk Road (Postwick Interchange Side Roads and Slip Roads) Orders

I object to the above draft Orders and wish to be registered as an objector.  The grounds of my objection are as follows:

- the proposed changes would cause me inconvenience by making drivers travel around a series of junctions.

- the changes will form the first stage of a Norwich Northern Distributor Road and I object to this scheme.

I hope that you will decide to hold an inquiry. Please keep me informed.

If you would like to write a longer letter, you could either print off and sign the attached template letter (see below link) or write in your own words.  Date the letter as Friday 8 Jan and then post on Monday 11 Jan to arrive on 13th.

Thanks a lot in anticipation for your help.
