Hi,

Would you be kind enough to circulate the attachments and email below to your networks and include the info in your next newsletter to advertise Link Community Development’s Malawi Bike Ride 2012. The Bike Ride is not only an eye-opening adventure, it’s a great opportunity to raise funds to help improve the quality of education in Malawi.

‘Are you ready for the adventure of your life? … then sign up for the Malawi Bike Ride 2012

After the amazing success of Link Community Development’s 2011 Malawi Bike Ride, we are very excited to launch our 2012 event taking place from 1st - 10th July 2012

The 2012 Malawi Bike Ride is a 250 mile cycle that takes participants through some of Malawi’s most scenic landscapes from Dedza to Mulanje, with the chance to see wildlife in the Liwonde National Park, and includes a unique opportunity to visit two of the schools supported by the charity Link Community Development who will benefit from the bike ride sponsorship.

Hear what some of our 2011 Malawi Bike Ride participants have to say:

Malawi was the most amazing adventure of my life - a beautiful country with beautiful and friendly people. The group members I cycled with were great people who I bonded with immediately, and LINK supports a great cause. A truly amazing experience.

On the school visits: ‘It was amazing and humbling to be given such a warm and genuine welcome to the school. It was fantastic to see the work of the Mother Group and what a fantastic effect they have on the community.’

Register now:

Download our registration pack and register now at www.lcdinternational.org/scotland/The_Malawi_Bike_Ride.htm to take advantage of our early bird offer of a reduced registration fee of £200 until 30th September 2011.

Read more about two participants’ experiences, Jane Laahs in the Courier article and David Fry’s blog.

Each cyclist has to raise £2,950 in sponsorship to support our work (this includes flights, in-country transport, bike hire, accommodation, and meals). Link can help with fundraising tips and ideas. Many 2011 participants exceeded the minimum amount!

We hope you are as excited as we are to make our second annual Malawi Bike ride the best yet. Please email louise@lcd.org.uk or call 0131 243 2685 if you have any questions.

Please help us by forwarding this email to any of your friends, family or colleagues who may be interested in taking part.

 Greatest thanks,

 Louise Stuart
