- In October 2007, a new edition of the Highway Code was published. The previous edition had a
Rule 47: 15th November 2007 - The AGM (held at the United Reform Church, Princess St, Norwich) was well attended.. The formal proceedings were dealt with including the Chairman's, Treasurer's, Membership Secretary and Consultations Officer's reports, reappointment of the honorary auditor and election of the Committee Officers. After which Kevin Simpson gave a quick overview of Anglian Cycle Training. Jeff Jordan then presented 2 DVDs, one about cycling in Copenhagen, a utopia for cyclists, the other of the Snowball Picnic held at Whitlingham, during National Bike Week. - Bike to Work Breakfast at the Forum 8am to 2pm (organised by Energy Saving
Trust Advice Centre Anglia). Giving free breakfast to those who
cycle to work. There will be stalls promoting sustainable transport
e.g. liftshare and Sustrans. Also we will have a stall and there is
a Dr Session arranged. 2nd September 2007 - Channel 4 film the Norwich Flyers at Sloughbottom Park

visit: August 2007 - Another Phyll's recommended folks - 'Cutting your car use' by Anna Semlyen, Green Books, ISBN 1 930098 32.8, revised and updated '07, gives ideas and advice on doing just that, reducing one's use of the car by - curtailing advertising promoting cars' choosing alternatives such as walking and cycling, working at home, internet shopping, widespread teleworking and teleconferencing, use of public transport, car sharing, car clubs, minimising cross-commuting, where person A and person B don't both cross town to do similar jobs, passing each other twice a day in their cars, etc. July 2007 - Free locks for cyclists June 2007 - During Bike Week (16th to 24th June) we organised 7 cycle events and 3 Dr Bike sessions (2 outside the City Hall & 1 at the N&N). June 2007 -
During June, Richard (NCC chairman), Fraser and Andy on behalf of the both the
CTC & the NCC, attended the Active Norfolk Cycling development meeting.
The meeting which mainly concerned sport in general also included a useful workshop on Cycling as Transport,
with Nigel Brigham from Sustrans and representatives form Norfolk County Council, including
Ian Temperton . Future meeting are in the pipeline.
